Unbeknownst to about everyone I know, I have had a blog for a number of years. I've written and posted many things, but neglected to tell anyone. This arrangement has helped me sort my thoughts while maintaining the freedom to be honest with my writing.
Amongst my postings are many things about my father. He passed away on Nov. 15, 2012 about 5:10 in the afternoon, EST. He had Alzheimers and had been declining slowly for a long time. Over the past month and a half he went down much more quickly that I could have imagined.
I am reposting some of what I wrote here as a tribute to this man that I love more than I can say. The title of the blog is a reference to a book about Alzheimers called, "The Long Goodbye."
